Proud to Announce Chris Adams as President of the NACDL

Over the weekend, our very own Chris Adams was sworn in as President of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) at their annual meeting. The organization is the largest and premier criminal defense bar in the United States and fights to ensure due process and fairness under the Constitution to anyone accused of a crime.

Chris joined NACDL Board of Directors in 2004 and has served on the Board most of the years following. He is as dedicated to the association as he is to his clients, immersing himself committees and task forces that pursue justice across the country on topics ranging from the combatting overcriminalization, white collar defense, educating the defense bar on trial tactics, to defending death penalty cases. After working with this organization for more than a two decades, Chris is thrilled to serve the members as President in the coming year.

Before Chris became a founding partner of Adams & Bischoff, he represented clients all over the country as a public defender and non-profit attorney. When he resided in Atlanta, he was active in organizations that fought against the death penalty for defendants throughout the Deep South. He also was the founding director of the Georgia Capital Defender Office, which defended men and women facing the death penalty across Georgia at trial and on appeal.

Chris has been recognized as a rising Super Lawyer in Georgia in 2005 and for the past 5 years as Super Lawyers in South Carolina for his work in criminal defense. He is also an in-demand lecturer at seminars across the country due to his extensive knowledge criminal law and trial advocacy. Chris brings his all to each client he works with and every task he undertakes, so we are excited to see his next great accomplishments as President of the NACDL.
